    POST /v2/search/persons and its available-fields route were retired on October 13, 2026. People Search replaces them.

    The API answers
    410 Gone with the error code ENDPOINT_GONE. error.details.alternative names the endpoint to call instead. The call is not processed and costs no credits.

    Call /v2/search/people: it returns full profiles, paginates with cursors and ships with a free count endpoint.

    People Search drops the area filter

    /v2/search/people, /v2/search/people/count and the MCP search_persons and count_persons tools no longer accept location.area.

    The API answers
    422 with the error code UNKNOWN_FIELD. The request costs 0 credits.
    What to do
    Use location.city for a metropolitan area, or location.region for a state or province.

    Company search is under maintenance

    POST /v2/search/companies and its available-fields route are paused for a few weeks. Organization search does the same job now.

    Move to /v2/search/organizations now. Company search comes back in a format compatible with it, so there is no second migration.
